Technologies

Experiencing the digital era is marking a turning point in education; the development of educational technology has acquired a predominant role in didactic sequences to achieve continuity in student learning. Gamification is the key in this transition. "Playing is the first way we learn and experiment to see what happens, try, try, try... Play is inherent to human beings!" (Games, Edu Trends, 2016).

Gamification in lesson planning is crucial to triggering cognitive processes in students. Its use enhances students' cognitive skills, consolidates their knowledge, and optimizes results.

Our partnership with Microsoft allows our students to have free software packages at home, as well as 1TB of cloud storage. This is very practical, as activities that are usually done on several platforms can be carried out on one.

With Cisco Networking Academy, they acquire practical knowledge about networking, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, programming in Python, among other topics. Moreover, using other digital platforms like Google Workspace, Zoom, MyOn, and iRead, students not only increase their cultural repertoire but also help consolidate strategies for analyzing and transmitting information, allowing them to express their opinions with solid foundations.

Additionally, through the Robotics workshop, we stay at the forefront of new technologies and connect with STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), where students can reinforce logical thinking, work in teams, increase their curiosity, build confidence, and above all, develop leadership skills.

Participation in the 2023 RoboRAVE World Championship in Monterrey motivated our students to delve deeper into prototype construction in the school's robotics workshop.
